We would like to share good news with you. Anna V. Loseva, a specialist in the Ladoga and Baltic ringed seals, researcher at the Nizhne-Svirsky State Nature Reserve, has won the WWF Laura Williams Award, taking the first place in the competition for young scientists achieved significant results in the conservation of species diversity and natural resources of the Russian Federation.

Anna actively participates in activities to protect vulnerable nature areas – in public hearings, expert reviews, meetings with government and business representatives. In past years, she paid a lot of attention to reducing anthropogenic impact on the Kurgalsky State Nature Sanctuary – a habitat of the endangered Baltic ringed seal population.
